If your work Christmas party is going to be captured on camera, you could be the one to do it. If you are a competent photographer and would like to have the chance to take some photos and improve your skills, put your name forward. However, if you are not a professional photographer, remember that it might be quite hard to ask for a wage for your work (it really all depends on the quality of the photographs you produce).
If you are trying to get some work as a photographer and would like to build on your experience, this can be a really good opportunity for you. Make sure you choose the right modes on your camera and get plenty of photos of everybody. Try to make them fun and spontaneous, as people are doing something interesting. This will help to make for a better photo shoot all round.

When people have just got engaged, they often want to celebrate by having a set of photographs taken. This will help them to remember the special moment of their engagement and to think back on it with fond memories. As a photographer, engagement photo shoots can be great work for you to get.
Make sure you have plenty of ideas about the shoot itself to present to your customers. If you have a portfolio of shots, even better. Talk to them in great detail about locations, as this can make or break the images you create.
Remember that people will have very different expectations from their engagement shoot. Just because they are now engaged, they won’t necessarily want a romantic shoot. They might prefer something more natural, with a beautiful backdrop. Spend some time understanding what they want and also seeing how they react in front of the camera. Give them plenty of direction so they don’t feel stiff and uncomfortable.

As a photographer, you need to have a creative mind and be constantly thinking about what would work in a photograph. This also involves being highly analytical and spending time considering scenes in order to incorporate all the right aspects.
If you are a natural photographer, you will probably see opportunities in everything you do. This is a great skill to have and you should make the most of it. Keep your camera with you as you never know when you will see the perfect sunset or find the most gorgeous old building to shoot.
Come up with ideas and concepts for your shoots. Creative photographers will have method to what they do, as well as making it look beautiful. You may want to capture certain things, like animals or a particular type of flower. If so, make this into a creative portfolio and think of a creative name for your series of images.

Photographs can bring back many precious memories that you will treasure forever. If you have taken photographs with people who mean a lot to you and who will also be able to share those memories, why not give a photograph as a gift for them? Something like this will look incredibly thoughtful. As long as the photograph is of a high enough quality, you will be onto a great idea by doing something as kind and thoughtful as this.
If you want to give a photograph as a gift, it needs to be framed. Make sure you choose the frame carefully to complement the person’s home. A freestanding frame is a very good idea as this will mean they can place it anywhere and don’t necessarily have to be able to hang it on a wall. Frames are available in many different finishes and can be bought online for very reasonable prices.

Most of the smartphones out there now have decent Megapixel quality, though they are not advised for professional photography because the lens size will always be compromised due to the small dimensions of the phone and overall design.
Though that being said a smartphone with a high Megapixel quality should be adequate enough to take some fairly decent shots at events when you are with family and friends. It’s all about creating a moment, and a smart phone is usually always to hand these day’s and those special moments can easily be captured quickly without dragging around extra equipment to events for a few sneaky shots.
If you have the right software on your phone via an app, you should be able to tweak some of the photos or add some kind of an effect to them.
There are even some mobile printers that can print Polaroid photos after an image has been sent to them wirelessly or via Bluetooth, so you can have your favourite photos instantly printed out.
