Posted on July 17, 2018 at 9:35 pm

You’ve taken a beautiful photograph with your high-end camera – you actually think it might be one of the most powerful images you have ever captured. Naturally, you might well want to display it in your home, so you can show the world your work and enjoy it yourself on a daily basis. This is a good way of remembering happy times and seeing beautiful imagery around your home.

Here are some things to consider to make sure you do your work justice:

  • Choose the right frame. Make sure it is the right size – get your photo printed first so that you can be sure.
  • Display it in the right place. Choose a wall hanging photo or a freestanding frame depending on the room, the decor and the type of frame you want.
  • Make sure people see it. Put it in a prominent place, so you and look at your photos and think of good times you’ve had.

The Right Frame for the Photo

Posted on May 18, 2018 at 1:44 pm

Photo frames make great presents, and they’re also nice to buy for yourself, giving you a way of displaying you photos in your home and making it more personal. To choose the right frame, it isn’t just about looking at the decor of the room (though that is important too!) – it is also really important that you look at the photo.

Many elements of the photo will dictate the frame you choose. On the most basic level, you will need to make sure the photo will fit and none of it will be hidden behind parts of the frame. You will also then need to choose the right style of frame and the right colour. Look at the elements of the photo – is it quite busy? Is it just a close up? For something more simple, you might want a decorative frame to make it stand out. Choose colours based on the colours in the photo to really draw them out.

What Should Corporate Photographs Convey?

Posted on March 30, 2018 at 3:43 pm

Corporate photographs are taken to represent a company and show who the staff are, usually to be used on a website or other forms of marketing communications. If you are having staff photographs taken, you will need to decide what you want to get out of them and why you are having a photoshoot. Here are some ideas:

  • Think about making it fun. If your business is a little bit quirky and you want your customers to see you on a more human level, you might want to make sure your staff look approachable and friendly. Think about having some fun team shots taken.
  • Make sure you have headshots of everyone. These can be used on the website and will show customers who people are.
  • Take some photos that can be used in the future. This might include photos of laptops, the office and the people at some different angles, that you can use on social media.
